Privacy Policy
Spirit Cleanse is an artistic experience for entertainment and personal reflection. This policy explains what stays on your device, what may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to you.
Who we are
HEXIMS IT LLP, based in India, publishes the Spirit Cleanse mobile application ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy applies to the app. It does not cover websites or apps you visit through a store, sharing destination, or other third party.
Information on your device
The app stores your preferences, onboarding choices, ritual history, optional emotional check-ins, journal entries containing neutral ritual details, reminder preferences, and locally recorded purchase-recovery information on your device. It uses those records to run the experiences you choose, show your history and recommendations, and recover an uncertain checkout. Words entered for Thought Release and optional remembrance dedications are cleared during the experience or when you leave it; they are not saved to the journal or sent to our product analytics service.
Selected photos and live camera imagery are used locally for artistic effects. We do not upload your photos or camera footage to our servers as part of a ritual. A camera session does not record video for us. A photo you select may appear in an artwork card if you choose that design. You can use abstract alternatives without a camera or photo.
Spirit Cleanse does not detect spirits, entities, illness, danger, or a measurable "aura". Its effects and prompts are symbolic entertainment and reflection, not medical or safety advice.
Camera, photos and notifications
Camera permission is used only when you choose a live camera experience or take a photo. The system photo picker lets you choose an image for Aura Mirror. Notification permission is requested only if you choose reminders; reminders are scheduled on your device. You can deny or change these permissions in your device settings and continue using available alternatives.
Optional product analytics
Usage analytics are off by default. If you enable them in the app's Settings, we send a randomly generated installation identifier and limited app events to PostHog's EU-hosted service. The identifier can link events from the same installation, so this information is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Events can describe onboarding, ritual and program use, event-night completion, paywall and purchase interactions, reminder choices, and return from the system share sheet. The app limits event values to reviewed categories. It does not send your name, journal or thought text, emotional check-in values, photos, camera content, or the recipient of a share through this analytics stream.
You may turn analytics off in Settings at any time. This stops new app events and cancels pending requests where possible; it does not remove events already received by PostHog. Contact us if you wish to ask about deletion of previously received analytics data. Network services may also process technical connection data, such as an IP address, to receive a request.
Reliability reports
If crash reporting is configured in a release, Sentry may receive technical error information, such as device and app version, error details and diagnostic context, to help us fix problems. We configure it not to send default personal identifiers, screenshots, or view-hierarchy captures. Diagnostic information can still contain technical identifiers or incidental data, so please do not assume it is anonymous. Crash reporting is not the same as optional product analytics.
Purchases and subscriptions
Google Play or the Apple App Store, as applicable, handles payment. RevenueCat helps us deliver and restore your membership or permanent packs. These services may process store account or app-user identifiers, product identifiers, transaction and entitlement status, country, currency, and technical purchase information. We do not receive your full payment-card details. The app may temporarily keep a minimal on-device record of an unresolved checkout so it can avoid starting a duplicate purchase.
Purchases are subject to the privacy terms of your app store and RevenueCat. Product availability and subscription management depend on the store through which you purchased.
Retention, deletion and your choices
Saved app-local records remain on your device until you remove them through available app controls or clear or uninstall the app under your device's settings. Thought Release writing and optional remembrance words are transient and are cleared as described above. Android app backup and device-transfer rules exclude Spirit Cleanse app data; copies you independently export or share are controlled by the destination service. Turning off analytics stops future event delivery but does not itself delete previously received events. Purchase records may be retained by the app stores and RevenueCat for entitlement, transaction, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes under their policies.
You may contact us to request information about, access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we control. We may need information sufficient to locate a relevant record and verify the request; we cannot identify or retrieve purely local journal content from our systems. Rights and exceptions vary by location. You may also manage permissions on your device, disable analytics in the app, and manage subscriptions through your app-store account.
International processing
We are based in India and may offer the app internationally. When optional analytics is enabled, its configured PostHog endpoint is in the European Union. Purchase, app-store, and crash-reporting providers may process information in other countries according to their services and applicable safeguards. Privacy rights and transfer requirements differ by jurisdiction; contact us for a request concerning your location.
Children and policy changes
Spirit Cleanse is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the request. We may update this policy as the app, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in the app or store listing, and the effective date above will be updated.
